Because speeds up to 80'000rpm are common in our motors, we had to develop a test bench which is able to work at these speeds.

We often use the same motor we want to test as a loading motor, so we can measure any motor. The loading motor is controlled by a special driver.

The test bench works using a piezo force sensor to measure the torque. Because small torques can result in pretty high power at high speed, a special mecanic has been developped in order to totally cancel any friction torque and to avoid hysteresis.
